OIC Praises HM the King’s Tireless Efforts in Defending Al-Quds Ashraf

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has praised the tireless efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to defend the holy places of Islam in Al-Quds Asharif. At the end of the 50th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held in Yaounde on Friday, the Organization commended the efforts made by the Agency, under the enlightened leadership of HM the King, to preserve the identity of the Holy City and the sacred Arab-Islamic heritage through the launch of several development projects for the benefit of the people of Al-Quds. The OIC also commended the Sovereign’s continued efforts to support the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency to enable it to fully play its role in protecting the Holy City and its inhabitants. Furthermore, the OIC Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian people who are experiencing a dramatic humanitarian situation that has lasted for more than 10 months, stressing the need to take all necessary measures to preserve the Islamic identity of Al-Quds Al-Sharif in the face of illegal measures and attempts at Judaization. They also reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to recover their inalienable rights, expressing their commitment to a two-state solution. The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ambassador Mustapha Mansouri, who leads the Moroccan delegation to this Council, had affirmed that Morocco’s support, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, for the Palestinian cause is unwavering and is not affected by any change or international situation. He affirmed, during the work of this session, that the Kingdom will continue its tireless efforts to defend the Holy Places, headed by Al Qods Acharif, to which HM the King pays particular attention, by combining political and diplomatic action and field work, through the Bayt Mal Al Qods Agency, which is working on the implementation of concrete plans and projects aimed essentially at preserving its legal status, safeguarding its civilizational identity and supporting the Maqdissie population.
