Jassim said in the press conference for the match between Al-Shorta and Al-Naft for the Iraq Cup Championship, which was attended by the (INA): “The big differences between the two teams in terms of the quality of the players played a role in deciding the outcome of the match and the superiority in it for the Al-Shorta team, which was able to win the points of the match.”

Jassim added that “Al-Shorta coach Moamen Suleiman has a large stock of main and substitute players, and the pressure of the matches made us miss many important players in the confrontation.” He pointed out that “his team played with a certain tactic in order to take the match to penalty kicks, but Al-Shorta exploited some mistakes and stole the match.”

For his part, the assistant coach of the police team, Amr Fathi, confirmed that “the fans of Al-Qithara played a role in qualifying for the final of the Iraq Cup, as well as winning the league title,” noting that “our players were calmer than the competitor and up to our confidence in them, and they presented one of the best matches throughout the season.”
