In November, oil consumption amounted to just under 4.8 million tons, up 13.8% (+580,000 tons) compared to the same month of 2020, almost in line (-3,000 tons less) than in November 2019. This result was determined by the recovery of automotive fuels which showed volumes higher than those of 2019 (+94,000 tons), against a still negative trend in aviation fuels (-115.00 tons compared to 2019) which kept the overall figure in negative territory. This was announced by Unem in a press release.
In the first eleven months of the year, Italian oil consumption amounted to 50.2 million tons, an increase of 9.1% (+4.177.000 tons) compared to the same period of 2020, however still 9% lower than to 2019.
