Oil Minister announces success of fuel plan for Arbaeen pilgrimage »

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, announced the success of the fuel plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, praising the performance of workers and officials in the contributing oil companies and formations.

The minister said in a statement received by the (INA): “The ministry has succeeded in providing millions of liters of fuel and liquefied gas cylinders to support and enhance the stock of distribution outlets, filling stations, and governorate warehouses, especially the Middle Euphrates, of fuel types, especially kerosene, gasoline, white oil, and liquefied gas.”

He added, “Government and mobile fuel filling stations, gas cylinder yards and tankers worked around the clock to meet the need and ensure the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage plan.”

Abdul Ghani added, “The oil companies in the southern, central and northern governorates have effectively contributed to harnessing all their capabilities, including vehicles, to transport visitors to and from the holy Karbala, in addition to providing the necessary services, such as food, water and other things.”

He added, “It also contributed to meeting the needs of power stations and private generators, and direct coordination and follow-up with the operations room in Karbala.”
