The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, received the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khalid bin Zayed Al-Duwaisi.
The meeting discussed “preparing a draft memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in various fields in the oil and gas sector.”
The Minister addressed “the development of the oil and gas sector and the ministry’s vision in this regard,” stressing “the bonds of brotherhood between Libya and Qatar, the importance of experienced international companies contributing to the development and exploration of unexplored land and sea areas, and the possibility of the two countries benefiting from developing cadres and exchanging expertise in the oil and gas sector.”
The ambassador said, “He carries with him directives from the State of Qatar to open the doors of cooperation in all fields and everything that would help support development and stability for the brotherly Libyan people.”
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Technical Affairs and the Director General of Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
