Oil prices rose on Friday as investors weighed concerns over Middle East supplies but signs of weakening demand capped gains.
Brent crude futures for October delivery, which expire on Friday, rose 23 cents, or 0.3%, to $80.17 a barrel, while the more widely traded November futures rose 20 cents, or 0.2%, to $79.02 a barrel.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 18 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $76.09, according to Reuters.
Both crudes rose more than a dollar at settlement on Thursday on concerns about oil supplies, with Brent gaining 1.5% and US crude up 1.7% for the week so far.
