The oil states have once again managed to drive up the price of oil by announcing production cuts. On Tuesday, the price of the North Sea variety Brent was again at a good 75 dollars per barrel (159 liter barrel), which was an increase of around 1 dollar compared to the previous day.

The price for a barrel of the American variety West Texas Intermediate for delivery in August (WTI) rose by 91 cents to a good 70 dollars.

Premium fuel became a little more expensive again

Saudi Arabia and Russia had previously announced further steps to cut oil production. Saudi Arabia also plans to cut its production by one million barrels a day in August. So far, the cut had only applied to July, and the country had so far left open an extension to further months. Russia announced that it would cut its oil exports by 500,000 barrels a day in August.

The heating oil prices in Germany didn’t really show that much; Probably also because of the summery weather, these are lower than a few months ago at 89 euros per 100 liters.

Diesel cost 1.607 euros per liter on average across Germany, Super E10 1.793 euros per liter. Premium fuel in particular had become somewhat more expensive again in the past few days.
