Öko-Test Criticizes Popular Tinted Day Creams for Harmful Ingredients

Petroleum-based substances like MOAH are said to have carcinogenic effects, while paraffins can disrupt the skin’s balance, and PEG compounds make the skin more susceptible to pollutants.
To help consumers choose the right shade of tinted day cream, Öko-Test provided some tips. They emphasized the importance of finding a cream that matches one’s own skin tone and complexion. BB creams, in particular, come in various shades, so it’s crucial to select one that closely matches the skin tone. Öko-Test suggested trying sample tubes at the drugstore and examining the results in daylight. If the perfect shade cannot be found, it’s better to opt for a slightly lighter tinted day cream rather than one that is too dark.
