Pavish Agarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, today announced its first ‘Make-in-India’ electric car project. It will be launched in India in 2024. Details about the electric car were shared today on the occasion of Independence Day.
According to Ola Electric, the new and upcoming electric car will use the company’s made-in-India operating system MoveOS, which will also be used in Ola electric scooters. It is also India’s first made-in-India battery-powered and fully made-in-India electric car.
According to the announcement, the battery capacity of this car can go over 500 km on a single charge. The car will accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4 seconds and will have a full glass roof. The car is expected to be launched in 2024.
August 15 is the launch date for a significant new vehicle in the history of Ola Electric. It launched its first electric scooters on this date. Both Ola Electric Scooter S1 and S1 Pro were launched on this date. However, Ola is only selling S1 Pro models in India.
