Mahindra’s previous generation Scorpio will be re-badged again and will be launched on August 20 as the Scorpio Classic with new technical features. Here are the top 5 features of the newly remodeled model.
New Engine:
Replacing a vehicle engine is like a heart transplant! Scorpio Classic is ready with a heart transplant and a brand new heart. That is, the existing 2179cc diesel engine has been replaced by a new 2184cc, new 2.2 mHawk powertrain engine. Like the new Thar and the entry-level Scorpio, this engine has an output of 130bhp and 300Nm of torque. According to the company, the weight of this classic model is 55 kg less than the old model due to the new aluminum engine.
Quirky Style in Exterior Appearance:
With a re-badge, expect a significant change in appearance or a new style. On the Classic Scorpio, the styling department seems to have paid more attention. The front of the Scorpio is seen in an all black color with new six chrome finished verticals slats.
Also, the front of the vehicle gets Mahindra’s new ‘Twin Backs’ emblem and faux badge in silver color. The 17-inch wheels are the same as the old model, although the top variant of the Classic is offered with dual-tone alloy wheels. The Classic features the rear tower suspensions seen on the 2007 edition.

The Scorpio Classic comes in five colours. It comes in Pearl White, Napoli Black, Red Rage, D’Chat Silver and Galaxy Grey.
Elegant interior
Is it enough to just change the exterior? Mahindra has improved the comfort and refined the interior of the car. The cabin of the classic model is brilliantly designed in a combination of black and beige. Also, it is elegantly decorated with more space, ventilation and beige colored quilted seats. Also, it adds new tech features like wooden panels and Android-powered 9-inch infotainment system with voice command feature.

Improved ride and handling
The suspension of the new Scorpio Classic comes with multi-tuning valve concentric land dampers. This valve design ensures that the suspension system responds instantly. This improves the driving experience with ease on a variety of road conditions.
Mahindra Classic misses:
Despite having all the features an SUV needs, the Scorpio Classic misses out on several important features like auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, windscreen wiper control, tire pressure monitoring.
