Dormagen. In the Alloheim Senioren Residenz Dormagen, the Viersen band Blue Moon recently caused enthusiasm with a breathtaking show and collected donations for the Dormagen food bank. Under the direction of Volkmar Hess and the patronage of Anissa Saysay, the band got the audience going wild and raised a total of 1027.92 euros in donations. Of this, a generous EUR 527.92 landed directly in the band’s hat, while the Alloheim Seniorenresidenz Dormagen contributed an additional EUR 500.

“This unique event combined culture and social commitment and gave older people who are no longer mobile a special experience,” emphasized patron Anissa Saysay. The dance floor was packed with couples dancing to the rhythm of Blue Moon’s rock ‘n’ roll tunes, adding to the incomparable atmosphere.

The event was organized by Volkmar Hess and supported by Anissa Saysay as patron. Christiane Schneider, Chairwoman of the OV from Zons, opened the event with a heartfelt greeting. Volkmar Hess charmingly guided through the program and collected generous donations in his hat. He thanked everyone involved for their impressive commitment. Saysay stressed the importance of bringing different generations together and offering local events that the elderly and the sick can attend. She emphasized how meaningful it is that the proceeds ultimately benefit those in need.

“My special thanks go to Volkmar Hess, who put a lot of effort into this,” affirmed Saysay. Claudia Manousek, the 1st Chairwoman of the Dormagen Food Bank, was delighted with the generous donation, as well as with the support and donation from Alloheim Managing Director Mathias Brandt, and thanked her warmly for the valuable help.
