Should stay in Frankfurt: coach Oliver Glasner

The Frankfurters want to retain their coach, who is also courted from the Premier League, in the long term. As the FAZ found out, the collaboration with Oliver Glasner is to be extended ahead of time with a new contract.
Niko Kovac and Oliver Glasner feel sympathy for each other. They left the podium arm in arm, smiled and had a few things to talk about in private as they retreated behind the scenes. Both could live with the 2:2 in the duel between their teams – the result enables both VfL Wolfsburg and Frankfurt Eintracht to continue to believe in a near future in which sporting dreams can come true, including international perspectives.
Kovac, the Eintracht hero of the past who laid the foundation for the ongoing upswing, avoided relegation in 2016, made cup triumph possible in 2018 and made a heartfelt commitment to the club as a lifelong member, praised his old love several times on Sunday night as opponents of champions -League format. While it added some luster to the respectable performance of his players, it was also important for him to emphasize how remarkable he felt the evolution of the club he had taken charge of on the cusp of entering the second division.
