Olivier Lievremont new DTN of the French Federation

Olivier Lievremont, former coach of the women’s XV of France between 2016 and 2019, has been appointed National Technical Director (DTN) of the French Rugby Federation, the FFR announced on Thursday in a press release. Lievremont succeeds Didier Retière, in office since 2014 but left in early April in Clermont, where he became director of sports development. Lievremont, who won the Six Nations Tournament with Les Bleues in 2016 and achieved the Grand Slam in 2019, was until now Technical Director of the Southern League and the Corsica League.

«Since 2007, when he became territorial rugby adviser for Franche-Comté, then Poitou-Charentes, he has acquired solid experience within the territories. His knowledge and expertise will be real assets in meeting the challenges of major sporting events to come.», Explains the FFR.

Olivier Lievremont is the first cousin and godson of Marc, former international third line (25 selections between 1995 and 1999) and former coach of the Blues, winner of the Grand Slam in 2010 and vice-world champion the following season.
