With Moses Wright scoring 25 points, Sasha Vezenkov adding another 24, and Evan Fournier distributing 8 assists, Olympiakos defeated Red Star 87-83 in a friendly match held at the SEF.
Olympiakos secured a friendly victory of 87-83 against Red Star in a game that took place behind closed doors at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, where the newcomer, Evan Fournier, made his debut. The French forward did not score, but he provided 8 assists to his teammates.
Moses Wright played a leading role, especially in the absence of the other big men, contributing 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Sasha Vezenkov followed closely with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Shaquille McKissic added another 16 points.
It is worth mentioning that Giorgos Bartzokas did not have Kostas Papanikolaou & Thomas Walkup available (they are in Istanbul due to obligations with EuroLeague), as well as Filip Petrusev & Nigel Williams-Goss, who are following individual programs, along with injured players Keenan Evans, Moustafa Fall, and Nikola Milutinov.
For the visiting team, Milos Teodosic and Nemanja Nedovic were absent, while the top scorer with 18 points was Cody Miller-McIntyre. Yago dos Santos also had a good presence, with 17 points and 5 assists. Joel Bolomboy recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Canaan remained low in scoring, returning to familiar territory.
The match, as well as Evan Fournier’s unofficial debut, was closely watched by Panagiotis Angelopoulos.
