Athletes who won medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics captured their glorious moments on Samsung Electronics’ ‘Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition’. The ‘Victory Selfie’ program, designed for athletes who wanted to take a ‘selfie’ (self-camera) right after receiving their medals, is gaining huge popularity.

On the 29th, Samsung Electronics announced that it is operating the ‘Victory Selfie’ program together with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Paris Organizing Committee.

Photos taken on the podium will be synced in real time to the ‘Athlete 365’ app on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition, which was provided to all athletes participating in the Paris Olympics. Athletes can directly download the photos and easily share them with family, friends, and fans.

The ‘Victory Selfie’ idea was reportedly proposed by Samsung Electronics. Samsung Electronics signed a global sponsorship contract with the IOC in 1997 and will remain a partner for 30 years until the 2028 LA Olympics.

The 17,000 Olympic Edition devices distributed to athletes this time are equipped with Galaxy AI. They will support athletes from each country to communicate without language barriers and share the excitement of the Olympics with fans around the world.
