The Olympic flame of the upcoming Winter Games in Beijing has been delivered from Athens to Beijing. The plane with the delegation of the organizing committee of the Games landed at the Capital Airport early in the morning on October 20, TASS reports.
The day before, a solemn ceremony of handing over the Olympic flame lit in Ancient Olympia to the organizers of the Games took place. The ceremony took place at the historic white marble stadium Panathinaikos in Athens. There were no viewers due to coronavirus restrictions.
Recall that the XXIV Winter Olympic Games will be held in Beijing from 4 to 20 February 2022.
