They are qualified on the wire for the 2024 Olympics but, two and a half months later, they are in the final of the Olympic competition. French 3×3 basketball players secured a medal on Monday, August 5, by defeating title holders Latvia (21-14).
They build their success in patience, with a goal in two points (5 successful shots in 11 attempts). They took time to celebrate their victory with supporters, to the sound of “Quand la musique est bonne” by Jean-Jacques Goldman.
But there is no time to enjoy. The Blues play their final game at 10:30 pm against the Dutch, who beat the Lithuanians (20-9) in the other half.
