Olympic Games 2024: after the cancellations linked to the return of the Russians, fencers face the fear of heights

Almost a month ago, the International Federation (FIE) decided to reinstate Russian and Belarusian fencers, subject to a decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The latter, on March 28 and through the voice of Thomas Bach, its president (and former fencer gold medalist at the 1976 Games) pleaded in turn for the return to competition of the athletes of the two offending countries.
