The European Judo Championships ended on Sunday in Montpellier. Romane Dicko’s coronation brought the French total to nine medals, including five gold. A good result, even if the failures of several women raise questions. With less than nine months until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, there are good reasons to believe that the medal haul will be significant this summer.
