jpnn.com – SERANG – Rizki Juniansyah, the gold-winning lifter at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is disappointed with the Banten Provincial Government.

According to Rizki, the provincial government’s concern for athletes is limited to seeking fame from achievements achieved in the international arena.

“Don’t be greeted when we arrive in Indonesia, what are they, trying to look good, that’s what they call it. Sorry. Sorry. Not to put us down, that’s the reality,” said Rizki to JPNN.

However, Rizki is happy because there are still people who care about him, such as the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Banten.

“Before I left, a representative from KONI came to my house to give me money for my stay in Paris,” he said.

Rizki explained that his attitude or comments were to remind the regional government to appreciate athletes more, not only measuring them based on their achievements.

“We should understand, because the Banten Government has not yet given any appreciation,” he said.

“I hope for the best for Banten in the future. Hopefully the athletes will be more enthusiastic if there is support,” he added. (mcr34/jpnn)
