The stage reached its grand finale at 7:30 pm in Piazza Sordello, Mantova. The city’s celebration welcomed the brazier within the stunning Renaissance setting, a location recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the extraordinary architectural complex developed under the Gonzaga family.
Throughout the day, the relay also passed through symbolic landscapes, including the hills of Custoza – historically known for wine production – Isola della Scala, defined by its intricate irrigation canals, and the vineyards of Soave, surrounding the Scaliger castle and representing a key wine region of Veneto.
