Olympics 2024: much uncertainty and sadness about economic damage

It is the cheapest Games in history, because there is no new sports infrastructure to build in France. But the promise was not kept, as is often the case with the Olympics. The official budget for the Paris Games has already increased from 6 to 9 billion euros, with 2.3 billion in public funding. And with indirect costs, the cost can be double and exceed that of the London Olympics. The economic benefits are still uncertain.
