At least five people were arrested on Monday evening on the sidelines of an attempted clash between Marseille and German supporters in downtown Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), announced the Marseille police headquarters. The police intervened to prevent the supporters of the two camps from clashing directly.
No injuries or damage were to be deplored at 10:30 p.m., said La Provence. The arrests carried out were, for at least four of them, for carrying a prohibited weapon.
