Qatar has started accepting applications for multi-entry tourist visas implemented by Oman in connection with the World Cup. The free multi-entry tourist visa has been introduced as part of efforts to attract football fans from different parts of the world to Oman in addition to Qatar’s support for the World Cup.
According to the Royal Oman Police, those who have a ‘Haiya’ card issued by Qatar should apply through the website evisa.rop.gov.om. Flight ticket, photograph, passport copy and hotel reservation confirmation in Oman should be submitted along with the application. A multi-entry tourist visa allows you to bring your family and stay in Oman.
Those in the travel sector say that the multi-entry tourist visa will strengthen the hotels and tourism sector in places like Muscat and Salalah. There are 200 resorts and more than 20,000 hotel rooms in 11 governorates of Oman. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will also organize various programs to promote the World Cup Festival.
