Muscat: The Environment Authority represented the Sultanate in a meeting held in Iran titled Environmental Cooperation for a Better Future. Environment Authority Chairman Dr. Abdullah Bin Ali Al Ameri led the delegation of Oman. The meeting was attended by representatives of UN Environment Programme, UN Development Program and UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
The meeting aimed at increasing regional cooperation in tackling the environmental challenges affecting the region. The participants in the meeting also pointed out the need for cooperation in the environment sector as a collective responsibility for timely actions for nature conservation.
