A new era in Kiryat Shmona. The team that finished in eighth place in the youth Premier League table, announced that next season it will stand on the lines of the former coach of Nesher Urban, Omar Levinson. After everyone who has coached the Kiryat Shmona youth team for the past decade has come to coach the club’s senior team, the northern team’s youth coach job has become the most coveted job many future coaches are interested in to jump into coaching a senior league team the fastest.
After a long period of conversations and interviews with coaches from all over the country, Kiryat Shmona decided to go for coach Omar Levinson, who last season coached Nesher’s senior team from the first division. A year earlier, he coached the Nesher youth team in the Premier League and was still part of the youth departments of the Tzur Shalom, Hapoel Haifa and Acre teams. In addition, Levinson coaches the Israeli national team in six-on-six, which will go to the European Championship EMF EURO 2022 today (Friday). The championship, in which 24 countries participate, will open on Saturday, June 4 and last for 8 days. Live broadcasts on channel ONE.

For those who do not know, all the coaches of the Kiryat Shmona youth team in the last decade have coached the Kiryat Shmona senior team: Barak Bachar, Benny Ben Zaken, Saleh Hasrama, Kobi Refuah, Tomer Kashtan and the last coach, Alon Ziv, who was also promoted to seniors at the end of last season.
