Omega x Swatch Speedmaster is making shopping frenzy all over the world

by time news

A sample of stores around the world, from London to Geneva to Hong Kong to Miami, were stacked on Saturday as the Omega x Swatch Speedmaster Moonwatch rolled out in stores.

The Omega x Swatch Speedmaster set consists of 11 pieces that refer to the different planets and celestial bodies in our solar system, including the Moon, Earth, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Venus, Uranus, Neptune and Mercury. The MoonSwatch quartz chronograph refers to the mechanics of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch inspired by NASA, the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.

This collection marks the first time Swatch Group has had a luxury Omega collection that the brand has teamed up with its Swatch counterpart, and at $260, buyers can get a complete 11-watch collection for much less than the original Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch.

While Swatch has made clear that MoonSwatch is not a limited edition, thousands of people have flocked to their nearest Swatch store with reported arrests in Geneva and store closures in central London due to the chaos outside. Based on a video interview by HodinkiA buyer revealed that he flew from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and waited outside for more than 22 hours to secure the watch, which is currently selling for more than 10 times the original value on eBay and other secondary markets.

For those who missed it, restocking is expected to arrive in the coming weeks at select stores.

Elsewhere, Golden Boy Haaland ordered a unique chronograph from military specialist MICROMILSPEC.
