Cyclist Omar Goldstein recorded a nice achievement this evening (Friday) when he finished in third place and got on the podium in Volta Burgos. Goldstein impressed throughout the 169 kilometers and went on the run with a group of about 15 riders, until he attacked and managed to break away from the breakaway group along with six other riders.
Towards the end, the Israeli fought to achieve victory in the sprint, but to his disappointment, he finished in the respectable third place. This is another achievement for Goldstein, who just a week ago finished eighth overall in the Belgian Walloon Tour. Goldstein is also expected to be included in the Israel Premier Tech team in the Spanish Volta in two weeks, and all this about a month after he missed the Tour de France due to Corona.
At the same time, Israel Premier Tech announced that the Belgian rider Dylan Tyunes was signed to the team for the next two and a half years. The Belgian has recorded victories in the Tour de France and other important races in his career and will soon start competing with Israel Premier Tech.
“Dylan is a proven winner,” said team owner Sylvan Adams, “he is a very versatile rider and will be able to help us both in the Belgian classics and in the Grand Tours and other races.” He is also expected to be included in the lineup in the Spanish Volta.
