London: The study found that the omicron variant of Kovid was less likely to develop the disease than the delta. Two studies in the UK found that few people with the virus need hospitalization. At the same time, omicron has a greater potential for diffusion. The incidence of omicron infection in hospitals is 15 to 20 percent lower than in other variants.
The number of people who have to stay in the hospital for a night or more will be reduced by 40 to 45 percent. A study by the Imperial College of London found that those who did not get the vaccine were more likely to be hospitalized.
