The US-based Pfizer company has developed a tablet called Paxlovit for the corona virus.
If the pill is given within five days, the risk will be reduced to 88 percent, based on the test results.
These pills were given to 2,246 people who had not been vaccinated against corona for this test.
Of these, only 0.7 percent were hospitalized within 28 days. However not a single fatality occurred. Pfizer claims that this tablet has good performance.
Meanwhile, the rapid spread of the genetically modified Omicron type corona virus poses a major threat. It is doubtful whether this can be controlled by vaccination.
Albert Borla, CEO of Pfizer, said: “Taking the Paxlovit tablet provides protection against all types of bad corona viruses, including omega. I hope this will be approved soon, he said.
