BLITAR – Arrival of the presidential candidate from the Perindo Party, Ganjar Pranowo Residents have been waiting for a pilgrimage to the grave of Indonesian Proclaimer Soekarno in Blitar, East Java, Friday (3/11/2023). They had arrived at the grave complex several hours before Ganjar arrived.

Ganjar and Mahfud MD’s arrival was accompanied by the General Chairperson of the PDIP DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri. PDIP political elites were also present, such as Prananda Prabowo, Puan Maharani, Hasto Kristiyanto, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Yasonna Laoly, and Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul.

The procession of praying together and scattering flowers lasted for about an hour. Meanwhile, local residents stole glances from behind the fence, while waiting for Ganjar to come out of the main cemetery complex.

Sure enough, the residents immediately rushed hysterically to shake Ganjar’s hand. Some of them even dared to break through the security officers and chase the car carrying the white-haired politician, just to shake hands.

Yuli Siswati, for example, admitted that she was happy to be able to see and shake hands with her idol. “Yes, it was a pleasure to shake hands with Mr. Ganjar,” he said.

According to him, the pilgrimage moment was his opportunity to meet Ganjar. Because he really admires the figure of the former Governor of Central Java for two periods. “Mr Ganjar is a good person, friendly and charismatic,” he continued.

Atik Kurnia Santi also said the same thing, who was willing to wait hours to meet Ganjar. Apart from that, he had to be crowded with other residents.

“Yes, there was a fight to shake hands. Then I broke in while Mr Ganjar was in the car, the window was open so I could shake hands,” he said.

Atik couldn’t hide his happiness at being able to meet and shake hands with Ganjar. “He’s handsome, his hands are smooth. I’m really happy to be able to shake hands,” he said.
