During an agenda in Campo Grande last Saturday (17), the minister of women, Aparecida Gonçalves, committed to working for agility in the construction of the Casa da Mulher Brasileira in Dourados.
The City Hall of Dourados will be responsible for equipping the building after construction, as announced by the mayor of Dourados, Alan Guedes (PP), after meeting with the minister and federal deputy, Geraldo Resende (PSDB), in Campo Grande.
According to Guedes, this commitment signed with the Federal Government is essential for the works to finally get off the ground. “This sensitivity with Dourados is very important. The partnership of Deputy Geraldo and the entire MS federal group were decisive for this important step”, he explains.
Also according to the city hall, the municipality already has two amendments worth R$ 1.6 million by Senator Soraya Thronicke and former deputy and superintendent of Sudeco, Rose Modesto, to equip the building.
Minister Cida highlighted the importance of the work carried out within the Casa da Mulher Brasileira and said that the ministry will work hard on the matter.
For deputy Geraldo Resende, who mediated the release of R$ 17 million with the Federal Government for the construction of the building, the work will guarantee more protection for women.
“It is a cause that I strongly believe in. The Brazilian Women’s House will ensure the necessary care for women victims of violence, the minister guaranteed speed in the procedures in her portfolio and also in the Ministry of Justice, “said Resende.
