On International Women’s Day, Mothers Participate in Health and Financial Literacy

Commemorating International Women’s Day, PT Ajinomoto Indonesia (Ajinomoto) in collaboration with PT Asuransi Astra Buana (Asuransi Astra) held KITA (Health & family financial literacy) Meaningful Women which was attended by the mother community.

As is known every day, women carry out their roles in order to pursue a future for themselves and their families.

Various roles are played by women with various decisions that need to be scrutinized to avoid mistakes and losses that sometimes arise out of control.

From a wife, leader, family nutritionist, family income regulator and most importantly being a mother.

Mother is often considered as the key in a family to the surrounding community. Mother always put all the best efforts for the family.

Understanding the role of women as the spearhead of wise decisions, Ajinomoto and Astra Insurance collaborated to hold financial and health literacy wrapped up through the KITA (Health & Family Financial Literacy) talkshow #WomenMeaningful for the mother community as a whole offline.

Grant Senjaya – Head of Public Relations Dept. Ajinomoto said that it is important to understand good nutritional intake for families.

“Good nutrition is a big thing that Ajinomoto highlights and is an important capital for the growth of future generations,” he said in a statement, Thursday (9/3).

“We from Ajinomoto provide education to the public about the importance of arranging nutritious food for families,” he explained.

This literacy event aims to encourage and improve capabilities as well as raise public awareness and concern for the importance of implementing balanced nutrition in the family.

In addition, it aims to help improve the quality of better health.

“This activity is also an invitation to mothers who are present to prevent stunting in growing children by serving nutritious food,” said Grant.

“This is one of our concrete steps as Health Providers in helping to increase the healthy life expectancy of Indonesian families,” he said.

“This time we are also informing about the 40 gram Masako product that we just launched. This 40 gram Masako helps mothers in serving delicious and nutritious meals,” he explained.

Meanwhile, dr. Raissa Edwina Djuanda, M. Nutrition, Sp. GK, who shared information about good nutrition for the family.

Mona Ratuliu, a mother and also as influencer also shared tips and experiences as a mother in organizing nutritious food for the family.

Cooking demo

Ajinomoto also worked with Chef Aboudd who gave a cooking demonstration of “Masako Chicken Soy Sauce” and “Masako-style Meatball Soup” taken from Dapurumami.com.

“Ajinomoto hopes that what is shared can provide positive input for mothers,” said Grant.

The slick collaboration between Ajinomoto and Asuransi Astra is also filled with discussions about financial planning and management from the perspective of a great mother built from the sweet to bitter experiences of Nucha Bachri.

Nucha is a public figure who concentrates on empowerment, emphasizing the importance of transparency with spouses regarding family financial management.

Not only that, Angela Anindita, Head of PR & Activations Astra Insurance also completed the session sharing by presenting material on risk management and the urgency of having insurance as a form of family financial protection.

“Being a mother is not easy. As we know, the roles that must be played are varied,” he said.

“Not only acting as a wife in the household who takes part in making decisions in the household that need to be undertaken skillfully, intelligently and wisely,” explained Angela.

“Mothers are not human beings with super powers, all efforts are always made for the best. However, life is learning so if it is not perfect and makes mistakes, it needs to be corrected and learned again,” he explained.

“Therefore, hopefully this literacy can help mothers carry out their roles, especially allocating appropriate finances,” said Head of PR, Marcomm & Event, Laurentius Iwan Pranoto.
