On «La Lettura» Varoufakis, Kafka, «Bambi», Winton; and Sunday 19th the party Saturday 18th in the App and on Sunday 19th on newsstands the new issue with the editorial project dedicated to Kafka in the Meridians, the new editions of «Bambi», the Pulitzer Prize winner Margo Jefferson and other contemporary authors. Literary classics reborn in new editions, and many contemporary writers, in the issue of «la Lettura» #625, Saturday 18 November on the App and Sunday 19 on newsstands (cover by Marion Baruch, right). In view of the centenary of Franz Kafka’s death which will be celebrated in 2024, the Meridiani Mondadori directed by Alessandro Piperno are launching an editorial project edited by the Germanist Luca Crescenzi, about whom Cristina Taglietti writes in the issue: Un medico di campaign, while in the next 10 years the entire work will arrive in 5 volumes with new translations and critical apparatus.

Considered a fairy tale, Bambi. Story of a life in the woods is a masterpiece by Felix Salten, from 1923, revived a hundred years later in two illustrated editions, for Giunti by Fabian Negrin, for Rizzoli by Simone Mussi: on «la Lettura» two reflections on the story and its author are signed Emanuele Trevi and Vivian Lamarque, both Strega winners.

Among today’s authors: Margo Jefferson, Pulitzer Prize winner, will be in Rome on December 8th, for Più libri viviri, with the memoir Sistema nervosa under construction (66thand2nd, in bookshops on November 28th), in which social conquests enter of blacks in America: Viviana Mazza interviews her. The shepherd’s hut (Fazi), a coming-of-age story by the Australian Tim Winton, will be in bookshops on 21 November: Livia Manera writes about it. The incipit of the novel is the Theme of the Day for Saturday 18 November in the “La Lettura” App.
