In the coming days, the sky will be mostly clear, the weather will be dry and sunny throughout the country.
At night, with a slow southeast wind blowing, the air temperature will drop to +10..+16 degrees, in places in the eastern part of the country – to +7 degrees.
During the day, a slow to moderate southeast wind will blow and the air temperature will rise to +23..+28 degrees. The warmest afternoon will be in Kurzeme.
The weather in Riga will not change on Saturday either – the sun will shine brightly and a slow to moderate southeast wind will blow. The air temperature at night will drop to +15 degrees, in the suburbs – to +11..+14 degrees. In the afternoon, the temperature will reach +26 degrees.
It has already been reported that the water temperature in the sea mostly remains within +17..+20 degrees, however, as the wind blows from the southeast for a long time, the water may become colder in many places on the coast of Latvia.
In the largest lakes and rivers, the water temperature fluctuates around +20 degrees, but in some smaller rivers and also in part of Gauja, the water has cooled down to +15..+17 degrees.
As the dry and warm weather continues, the risk of fire in forests increases, reaching a high level in some places.
