The Awami League will hold the pre-announced mourning march on Monday, which was postponed due to inclement weather. Apart from this, Awami League has announced the program of gatherings in all districts and cities across the country on Sunday.

The party’s general secretary Obaidul Quader announced the program in an emergency press conference at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi on Saturday (August 3).

He said, on the one hand, the weather is bad, on the other hand, we do not want to get involved in any kind of confrontation. Because of that, we avoid such programs which may lead to conflicts. We had scheduled programs on Friday (August 2) and today (Saturday) as well.

Obaidul Quader said, we are now celebrating the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu’s son Sheikh Kamal on August 5. We have given a new program on Sunday (August 4).

He said, on Sunday, there will be gatherings in all the wards of Dhaka City and in all the districts and cities of Bangladesh. And on August 5, we will hold a mourning procession from Engineers Institution to Bangabandhu Bhavan.

At that time Awami League Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Mirza Azam, SM Kamal Hossain, Afzal Hossain, Department Secretary Biplab Barua, Liberation War Affairs Secretary. Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam, Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain and others were present.
