On Friday, the 100th day of the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia occupied one – fifth of the country. The Donbass region is completely under Russian control. Russia also defeated Ukraine’s last resistance in Severodonetsk, a strategic city and industrial center. Russia now controls 80 percent of the city. Russia has expanded its offensive into western Ukraine.
The Beskidi subway was destroyed in a missile attack in Lviv. Ukraine receives aid from Europe and the United States through this. The attack is to prevent this. Five people were injured.
President Vladimir Selensky has said that hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers die every day in eastern Ukraine, where clashes are taking place. Selensky also accused Russia of abducting two million children. About 1.6 million people are reported to have crossed into Russia from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in addition to the United States, Germany also decided to supply arms to Ukraine. Germany said on Wednesday it would provide state-of-the-art missiles and radar systems. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is reportedly considering expelling Russia from its oil production agreement.
