On The Beach Festival Announces Pete Tong and Sonny Fodera for 2027

Brighton’s award-winning On The Beach festival has confirmed its seventh seafront edition for July 2027, locking in Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics and Australian house producer Sonny Fodera as its initial headliners alongside upcoming pre-sales and a planned expansion to Great Yarmouth.

Brighton’s seafront is gearing up for another massive summer of electronic music. Organisers have announced that the award-winning On The Beach festival will return for its seventh staging in July 2027, dropping initial headliners more than eight months in advance following a stellar economic run on the south coast.

Staged right at the water’s edge against the panoramic backdrop of the English Channel, the festival arrives fresh from clinching Best Location at the Skiddle Awards. Launched in 2021, On The Beach has previously hosted sold out shows from Fatboy Slim, Chase & Status, Above & Beyond, Bicep, Eric Prydz, Underworld and Carl Cox alongside Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Libertines, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks. Last year’s event saw its seafront stage host 40 artists across eight shows and two weekends with headliners including Fatboy Slim, Madness, The Maccabees, and Moby.

Pete Tong and Sonny Fodera Lead the July 2027 Lineup

The festival launches on July 9, 2027, with Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics, featuring the Essential Orchestra conducted by Tom Richards. Richards previously arranged and conducted RAYE’s My 21st Century Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall. Special guest Todd Terry joins the opening night bill alongside Greg Wilson.

Two weeks later on July 24, multi-platinum-selling producer Sonny Fodera takes over the shingle. Fodera arrives in Brighton straight off a sold-out UK arena tour that included dates at Manchester’s Co-op Live and London’s The O2, backed by his Top 20 album can we do it all again?. Fodera’s busy summer schedule also features a headline performance at DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle on Friday, June 4.

Economic Impact and Council Backing Behind Brighton’s Seafront Success

The festival’s return follows a lucrative 2025 outing. That year’s edition generated over £8.3 million for the city, drawing more than 59,000 attendees—about two-thirds of whom travelled from outside Brighton.
