Sydney: Rain fell in the fourth match of the Ashes Test series against England. Only 46.5 overs were played on the first day. By the end of the first day, Australia were 126 for three.

Openers David Warner and Marcus Harris got off to a good start for Australia, who won the toss and elected to bat. Both added 51 runs for the first wicket. But it was Stuart Broad who got David Warner back and gave Australia the first blow.

Warner, who scored 30 off 72 balls, was bowled by Broad Zack Crowley. Harris then crossed the 100 mark with Marnus Labouchein, who later reached the crease. But with the score at 111, Harris was dismissed for 38. Joe Root was caught by James Anderson and Harris returned.

Later, Labosshain also took a wicket and the Aussies were bowled out. Mark Wood’s Jose Buttler handed Labooshain 28 runs. Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja batted at the crease after losing three wickets. Smith was unbeaten on six and Khawaja on four.

For England, Broad, Anderson and Wood took one wicket each. Australia have already won the first three Tests and won the series.
