After a long delay, the Punjab police registered a case yesterday regarding the firing incident.
The Ministry of Interior has ordered the Punjab Police to investigate the shooting of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. But the Punjab police refused to register a case regarding the incident. Following this, the complaint filed by Imran Khan has accused the police of reluctance to register a case because Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Army Intelligence chief Faisal Naseer are named.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, which conducted a voluntary inquiry into the matter, yesterday ordered the police to file a case within 24 hours in the incident of shooting at Imran Khan. Following this, after a long delay, the Punjab Provincial Police registered a case yesterday regarding the incident.
However, it is said that Naveed Mohammad Bashir, who shot Imran Khan, has been named as the main culprit in this case, and the names of the Prime Minister, Interior Minister and the Chief of Military Intelligence have not been mentioned. So it has been informed by Imran Khan that he will file a case against this in the Supreme Court.
