Audition. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin will be heard by the Law Commission of the National Assembly concerning the riots which shook the country after the death of young Nahel, who was shot by a police officer after refusing to comply .

Justice. The administrative court of Poitiers must examine the request for suspension of a decree of the city of Angoulême. The latter prohibits anyone from sitting, lying down or standing static in the streets of the town. The decree is provisional and valid for one year. Anyone who does not comply with this decree is liable to a fine of 35 euros, which can go up to 150 euros in the event of a repeat offence. A suspension of the decree was made by the League of Human Rights.

Movie theater. Christopher Nolan’s event film Oppenheimer fate in dark halls, adaptation of the book Robert Oppenheimer, triumph and tragedy of a genius, by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The film retraces the participation of the famous physicist in the development of the first atomic bomb in 1945, before his disavowal because of his affinities with communism.

Sport. The presidents of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur regions, Laurent Wauquiez and Renaud Muselier respectively, take part in a meal at the Élysée dedicated to the Olympic Games. The two regions announced on Tuesday that they wanted to submit a joint bid to host the 2030 Winter Olympics.
