TF1 announced that it would broadcast “exclusively in France” at 11:10 p.m. this Monday, the interview granted by Prince Harry to the British channel ITV, also expected this Sunday, January 8 across the Channel. This interview precedes by a few days the publication of Prince Harry’s book, The Substitute, of which many startling revelations have already leaked in the press. The prince exiled in the United States recounts in particular having killed 25 “enemy combatants” in Afghanistan, a violent altercation with his brother William, having taken cocaine, or his opposition to the remarriage of his father Charles, now king.

Conference on Sweden’s candidacy for NATO. Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Sweden submitted a bid to join the Atlantic Alliance in May, abandoning decades of military non-alignment. This, which must be accepted unanimously by the 30 member states of NATO, has been ratified by all with the exception of Turkey and Hungary.

Trip to Guyana by Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Jean-Luc Mélenchon began a week-long trip to Guyana on Thursday. Meetings on the themes of ecology, health or social issues, in order to respond to the government’s “contempt” for the overseas territories are scheduled. From January 5 until January 12, “hospital, high school, energy: these on-site meetings will show how the problems of Guyana are not exceptional but those of all of France”. The former presidential candidate (21.95% in 2022) will also meet local unions and political parties, as well as an indigenous people fighting against the establishment, in Prospérité, of a hydrogen power plant.
