Since June, we have been working on the Chaussée du Bazacle, a dam that supplies the hydroelectric power station of the same name. Floating boats and push boats
To carry out this project, in the center of Toulouse, the materials are transported by floating boats and push boats, from the port of l’Embouchure to the railway, through the river Brienne.
“A floating pontoon, a working area for handling fields, is carried by the river and is located near the road,” specified the manager of the Bazacle power plant, which brings out the normal use of people 12,000 annually. EDF Hydro Sud-Ouest also assures that everything is in place to limit the effects on the summer activities of Toulouse residents and organize the activities “to reduce as much as possible the destruction and interference of activities”.
This project, which is part of the maintenance and improvement program for the manager’s 65 dams and 82 power stations, will continue until October.
