An event dedicated to the National Theater Day was held at the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan (STDA) in Baku, Day.Az reports.
Famous cultural and artistic figures took part in the event. Acting Chairman of STDA, People’s Artist Gadzhi Ismailov congratulated his colleagues on their professional holiday and wished them great creative success. At the event, the history and successes of the Azerbaijani theater were told. It was emphasized that the state pays great attention to the development of theatrical art.
Video and photographic materials reflecting the past and present day of the Azerbaijani theater were presented to the participants of the event.
At the evening, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Heydar Anatollu, actors of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater Huseyn Alili and Gultaj Alili performed musical compositions.
Then a number of theatrical figures were presented with medals, awards and certificates of honor from STDA.
The “Sənətkar” medal was awarded to People’s Artists – Shukufa Yusupova (Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater) and Firudin Maharramov (Sumgayit State Drama Theater), Honored Artist Azad Shukurov (Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts).
“Qizilgül” awards were presented to the director of the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators Naida Ismailzade, People’s Artist Fatma Mahmudova (Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre), honored artists – Kubrabeyim Aliyeva, Samaya Musayeva (Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre), Novresta Gashimova (Sumgayit State Drama Theatre) , Honored Cultural Worker Lalazar Huseynova (Salyan State Puppet Theater), as well as Elmira Kerimova, Malakhat Manafova and Khatira Babayeva (Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan).
The “Ümid” award was awarded to Umid Abbaszade (Sumgayit State Drama Theater).
Also, a number of artists were awarded STDA certificates of honor.
