“From the right side”, the first novel by the Sicilian journalist Accursio Sabella, has been in the bookstore since yesterday. At the height of a meteoric political career, the governor Giulio Levante is killed in a house in the Buconero, an infamous district of the capital, in front of the eyes of a woman and a boy. Who killed him? And how did he become the leader of the West Region? From this murder moves the narrative of the novel “On the right side”, by the Sicilian journalist Accursio Sabella, in his literary debut, in the bookstore since yesterday. A book published by Laurana that recounts the birth and rise of “The Righteous”, a political group that established itself as a reformer of moral customs, an example of integrity and rectitude that led to the implosion of the old power, linked to the mysterious criminal organization called Cateria.

But all is not as it seems. Bruno Ponente, disillusioned secretary of the group and narrator of the novel, thinks back to the relationship with childhood friends Levante and Marco Mezzogiorno, guide of “The Righteous”, and the facts that will lead them to the top of the Region.

Between conspiracies, lies, deals and coups, on the right side reconstructs the birth and death of a revolutionary political group and its protagonists, revealing what is often hidden behind the masks of power.
