On the sidelines of the Arab Championship (Sham and Gulf Zone) taking place in Najaf Governorate, the Iraqi Handball Federation held a course to refine and qualify Iraqi referees and referees participating in the championship from other Arab countries.
The head of the game’s federation, Ahmed Riyadh, said during the opening, which was attended by the (INA): “The course is to gain experience and keep up with the most prominent developments in arbitration that have occurred on the scene.”
For his part, the President of the Arab Handball Federation, Fadel Al-Nimr, praised Iraq’s hosting of the Arab Championship after an absence of more than 35 years, stressing that “Iraq is capable of hosting Arab championships.”
The first lecture was given by international lecturer Radhi Habib and included an explanatory explanation of some arbitration cases, new amendments to the law, directives of the International Federation’s Referees Committee, and standards of the International Federation’s Referees Committee.
