Starting from Tuesday, June 25, the Electoral Awareness Ambassadors launched a door-to-door campaign to encourage women to register in the voter registry to elect the municipal councils targeted in the first group.
According to the High Elections Commission’s Facebook page, the ambassadors visited homes and toured residential neighborhoods in order to communicate with women and encourage them to participate in registration.
The activities of the tenth day of the door-to-door campaign witnessed an increase in the rates of women’s registration, as the percentage of women registered in the voter registry today, Thursday, July 4, 2024, rose to 25% of the total number of registered voters, after the percentage of women before the start of the campaign was 15% of the total number of registered voters.
