The 13 Hours takes you to Burgundy with journalist Caroline Sinz, who gives some tips for visiting the weekend of June 10 and her favorites in the region.

To attend a traditional Burgundian festival on Saturday June 10, “you have to go to Paray-le-Monial, an hour’s drive from Tournus”, explains journalist Caroline Sinz. “We celebrate the 50th anniversary of the cacou, (…) a clafoutis with pitted cherries. Tomorrow, the brotherhood of franc-cacous will parade in the streets in full dress and fanfare” and even “induct new members with a ritual, the spitting of cherry pits. The cacou will be honored in the evening as part of a competition, accompanied by a “great Burgundian dinner“.

Museums dedicated to Burgundy wine

Lovers of the world of wine and the vine can “visit the Cités des climats and wines of Burgundy inaugurated this year, located in Mâcon, Chablis and Beaune. An immersive journey will allow visitors to learn more about the plots classified as World Heritage by Unesco, but also “of the 84 Burgundy wine appellations”concludes Caroline Sinz.
