ThPonniyin Selvan 1 is a hugely successful film released in Mirzim this year. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam based on the novel of the same name by legendary writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film collected more than 500 crores globally. The makers of the film have donated one crore rupees to the trust named after Kalki as happiness for the success of the film.
The director and his team informed about this during the victory celebration held in Chennai the other day. Producer A Subaskaran and director Mani Ratnam have personally delivered the check to the trust office. Sita Ravi, Managing Trustee, received the check on behalf of the Kalki Memorial Trust. Kalki Rajendran, son of Kalki Krishnamurthy, was present.
