Sharjah: One person died in a car accident in UAE. Another person who was with him was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident happened last day on Maleeha Road in Sharjah. Sharjah Police informed that the deceased is a 52-year-old UAE national. The extent of the accident was increased when the out-of-control car overturned.
The phone call informing about the accident was received in the operations room of Sharjah Police. Ambulance teams and other forces reached the spot immediately. A 52-year-old man was seriously injured and died on the spot. The body was taken to the hospital and later handed over to the relatives for burial.
The seriously injured person was transferred from the accident site to Al Qasimi Hospital by helicopter. The Air Wing Department of the General Directorate of Security Support in the Ministry of Home Affairs has taken steps for air lifting. The doctors said that his health condition is critical.
Officials released video footage of the injured being taken to the hospital by helicopter on social media.
